Devex Systems offers four types of electric underfloor heating systems: in-screed, in-slab, under timber or embedded in tile adhesive. The X Mat is designed to be laid directly under the tiles in an adhesive bed. It can be installed almost anywhere, even on top of an existing tiled floor. These systems deliver heat on demand.
IS ELECTRIC UNDERFLOOR HEATING EASY TO INSTALL?
Mats are the ready made version of the cable installation and a great option for DYIers. The mats consists of a thin heating cable that is pre-laid on a self-adhesive fibreglass mesh. It sits in the glue or levelling screed which then becomes heated and warms the floor covering. As the mat can be laid on the sub floor, it’s easily installed under the floor covering.

X MAT RANGE
An ideal option for retrofit and new construction projects, this “on-demand” system is quick to respond to changes in the thermostatic reading. Located immediately under the heated surface, it tends to be the fastest floor heating system on the market.

Insulation
We recommend the use of F-Board Insulation with electric floor heating to improve warm up times and reduce running costs.
Insulation is particularly important in small applications like bathrooms, ensuites and powder rooms as these areas usually require faster warm-up times, higher floor temperatures and often occupied for shorter periods of time.
